Are these the same tank manufactures that we can see in US? Lexfur and PST, ..........

TeddyDiver:
In Europe tanks are rated 200bar/230bar and 300bar. 200bar tanks are steels and al's with either DIN/lp or yoke valves. The filling pressure is max 230bar due the compressor safety valve setting. 300bar steels (with DIN/hp valve) are filled accordingly to 330bar. After cooling down the actual pressure comes down around 10% (from 230 to~210 and 330 to~300).
200bar ~3000psi
300bar ~4500psi
Gas mixes are made only in 200bar tanks (cave divers!).
1psi=0,06895bar
Tank sizes are in litres at 1 bar (8,10,12,15 :most common ones)

I'm not sure becouse haven't read the embedded names from tanks (Faber anyway). Got to check up. Most are labelled under brands like Mares, DiveRite, Suunto, Poseidon etc and they buy propably from the lowest bidder...

Faber is the most popular tank in the UK, Luxfer if you buy aluminium (Ali tanks are generally very rare).

Thats why I prefer discussing the size of a tank by it's water volume - you don't get confusing conversations like this one.. Pretty much every tank is filled to 232 bar (300 bar tanks are as rare as aluminium tanks because they are extremely heavy) and almost nobody overfills. So you know how much gas someone has just by looking at the size of their tank(s).

Just about half of the tanks at our club 300bar and the rest 200 steels (50/50 DIN/Yoke). One AL80 (not in use).
