I have both and use the Jetfin the most but regarding price keep in mind that they are about the same once you buy springs for the Jetfin. You almost have to replace the original strap on the Jetfin whereas you can use the straps that come on the Twinjets.

This post is really making me get a pair of jet fins. After struggling against current with my soft, blue twin jets I'm getting spooked with them.

Part of your problem is that the blue twins are a lot more flexible, thus have less quick thrust power. The black twins are stiffer and provide more quick thrust.

The jets are nice, but one note of warning. They will cause more calf fatigue and can cause some foot cramping, since the foot pocket does not extend the full length of your foot like the twins do. Having said that, they are cheap so you can at least try them for yourself.

Jets will be the twinkie, vienna sausage, cockroach of the dive world.
I hope mine get here soon so I can compare them to my Twins.
Well almost got a good deal for some jets on ebay, but someone drove the price way out of a good deal. Mine as well buy brand new ones now.

yeah, they seem cheap enough to own both

pilot fish:
ouch! almost bid on that till I realized it was for one fin :)
I edited my post to make it more clear that is only one fin, not a pair.

Nope, but he is here on SB. We're in a bidding war. :D

Not true. I've been using Jets since I started diving over 20 years ago, I've never had nor felt a need for spring straps. Sure, I have to replace the straps every 5 years or so, but that's really not a big deal. Springs are a lot of hype for straps that don't break every 5 years. Not worth the extra expense.

I still use the second pair of fins I ever bought. First pair, I bought based on price and they sucked. Don't even recall what they were. Within months, I bought a pair of ScubaPro Gorilla Fins and still use them today. I had to repair one of them, where the rubber on the top was torn. Repaired them with a tire repair kit. :D

I guess I'm dating myself here. Do they still make them?

Unfortunately I wear an XL jetfin. You had my hopes up :D
