We've made several trips to Key Largo, and so far, the BEST we've gone with has been

Conch Republic Divers - in Tavernier
Blue Water Divers - in Key Largo

Tavernier isn't that far south of Largo (next key) but both ops are responsible, have good boats, great service, they love what they do...and they're both SB'ers

Silent World, Island Ventures and Divers City USA are all great operators.

We went with Silent World, and I apprecaited them the most because, with my two tanks, they were the cheapest. Their program was OK, for a not-so-good day, and the boat was sound. I'd disagree with it being fast, though it was faster than the last two cattle boats I was on (but those were both larger). How about "it held a moderate speed"? eyebrow

A few of the divers I was with didn't like them for the following reasons: The captain asked where all we wanted to go, and my group knew places they wanted to see so they told him. He ignored any and all who spke up and took us, instead, to a place he chose. Perhaps this was due to the weather, but then he probably should have asked differently, or not at all. (This was the OW boat group, not the AOW boat, mind you, so that may make a difference)
The other 'complaint' was that they didn't have snacks. Well, maybe I'm odd, but I'd rather pay $17 to $30 less and buy my own snack, in the form of a very good dinner, after the excursion, TYVM. :14:

Best,

MD

I'll use them again, for their prices, for AOW dives.

Well since you're asking, I'd like to dive in Key Largo with Scarlett Johansson. I wouldn't care who the dive op was, and I'd even drag my boat down there if that's what it took.
As a backup, I'd settle for Famke Janssen.

In Feb my group used Rainbow Reef for a week. They have operations in Key Largo and Islamorada. We were happy campers. They listened to what we wanted and as much as possible gave it to us. This was the second year we've used them and I expect we'll do it again.

As was said earlier; each dive boat has its' own personality. Most important is to find the one that fits you. Tough to do on the internet.
