Tiny Bubbles:
DiverBrian & myself were talking about going to Whitestar this weekend. I want to camp there Friday & Saturday nights. Does anyone else want to go?

Sorry... I'm booked Friday and Saturday with non-diving activities. And diving Orchard Lake on Sunday.

Also FYI - Ray - I gave Jim H your phone number so the two of you can plan a dive for this Weds. evening. We were thinking Union Lake. I get out of a meeting in Troy at 6pm so if it works I will probably join you.

Would like to go to Whitestar one of these days but for this weekend myself & W.Va. Mike are thinking about going back down to W.Va. to dive Mt. Storm Lake.

Have a great weekend & camp out tiny & brian.

I will be there on Sunday with a buddy and maybe some others. I will keep an eye out for you.

Let me know what it is like there and maybe I will go next time.
Generally whitestr warms a little quicker than Gilboa b/c it's not as deep.

You can find 78' there, but you really need to know where to go to find that. For the most part max depth is between 50 and 60 feet. There's a couple of training platforms, a few boats, a police car, an old rock-crushing tower....but the coolest thing is the ruffels truck (which is a bit of a swim).

It generally got decent viz for ohio quarry diving away from students. There's a wade in entrance, and an entrance by the boat dock (they do allow fishing...but I don't know what people fish for).

There's a bunch of crawdads and blugill running around the place as well.

ODNR stocked the place with rainbow trout recently, that's what they fish for. I can't go this weekend, taking the advanced students to Natural Springs Resort in New Paris, Oh for their first weekend of diving. We'll be at White Star next weekend though (May7-8) if anyone's going to be there look me up!

I might be able to make that weekend to do a dive or two Saturday. I know I can talk ray(tiny bubbles) into going again.

78' ????? T I have been everywhere in there, including the caged entrance to the drain, and have only reached 73'. Anyway, if you run out of dive buddies, we will be at Gilboa Sunday. Joe
