we need a FAQ for this.
No, what we need for this as well as 99.9% of the questions, requests and discussions is a search function.

Oh lookie, we have one of those, don't we?

Is the fact that you have two OOA divers when you give up your primary a flaw or not?

I hope the regulators don't show up and bash me again. I would prefer some real education over nonsense.

No!

Was that clear enough?

It was clear on who you are. You are someone the truely believes that a system is "flawless". That should even scare the DIR guys...

Just to give you an idea of what goes on behind the scenes, when "regulators" contribute to a note, they're not wearing their regulator hats, so we can drop that right here and now.

If a note heats up, the regulators that have contributed to the note remove themselves from moderating of the note in question, regulators that are non-contributors moderate the note if necessary, up to and including chiding the contributing regulators.

The only reason I was the one to merge the note is that a merge does not modify content, I'm not going to go around deleting or modifying content because I'm a contributor to this note.

Again, as a contributor my regulator hat is off, I'm a peer.

You asked if giving up your primary reg for even an instant constitues a flaw.

What is the flaw?

The fact is that both divers will NOT have a regulator in their mouth. This is a F L A W. Whether it's a better flaw than other options is up for debate now. But if you can't call that a flaw. I hope you get out of diving. I don't even want to see you on the highway. If your near me on the highway I'll just pull off at the nearest Cracker Barrel and wait for the coast to clear.

HE STARTED IT...
You are the best Cincy... loads of fun... but I need to leave and go to the store... it will involve driving on the freeway... I hope I don't panic when I blink my eyes and can't see the road momentarily. And what if my heart stops... or... or my bladder explodes?

:D

You won't see me on the highway. I might blink and lose sight of the road for a millisecond. So I won't drive.

I think I'll go to the thoracic surgeon. I just hiccuped. I stop breathing for a millisecond. I must be dying.

On no. I just paused between breaths. I didn't die. Thanks goodness.

Whew, I feel better now.
