If I have a choice between 50% and 100%, I think 50%, because the time of stop decompression is shorter with 50% than 100%. If the time is shorter with 50%, is the decompression better?

Its shorter still with both 50% and 100%.

If you are doing it on 50% alone (which would have to be an 80ft3), you now have all you eggs in one basket. Lose that and you are seriously ^&%^&%&^%.

So you have a 40 with 30/30 and an 80 for 50. Just backgas for bottom mix. You have a serious lack of gas. (or you have shorten your run time)

Better hope nothing goes wrong or you are toast. If you shorten your runtime...then I would say "Why bother"

Mike is that coffee with popcorn?? That is not a good mix it will kill you quicker than diving 14/50 at 330' don't you know anything?? :D

It's like a reeses peanut butter cup, "2 great tastes that taste great together"

What can I say, it's a guilty pleasure...

Safe Diving

Tomeck why are you asking this question?

I don't see any way to cover your butt on a 100m dive with only 2 deco gases. No way. What you've proposed leaves some massive gaps and has all sorts of other issues, but more importantly you seem to be missing the magnitude of the planning and balancing of volumes, CNS toxicity, and deco necessary for this dive.

air breaks from the bottom gas? :shocked2:

I dive at 230 feet with 18/33 (2 x 10 liters, 230 bar (2 x 80 cu ft)) and deco 50% (7 liters, 200 bar (50 cu ft)) for 5 minutes (230 feet). During this dive, I consume about 110 bar (77 cu ft) with 18/33 and about 100 bar (25 cu ft) with 50%, I find it is very reasonable. Maybe with 50% and 100%, it is more safety, but I would not like to be parano?

What is your bottom time for this 230ft (70m) dive? If you are only using 2200L either your consumption is exceptional or you aren't there very long.
