dennis, i don't know the weather gambles but since you've got at least a few days to spare why don't you try coron? gorgeous place, and WWII wrecks up the wazoo...

it's a different adventure from most of the rest of the country most definitely

go to bohol! im going there Sept. 14 for 4 days 3 nights! then up to you if u wanna come with us to Malapascua after Bohol, doing 2 nights in Malapascua And up to you if u wanna check out Bantayan too! hehehe.

Maybe you would want to try Sipalay in Negros (same island as Dumaguete). the diving is not so great but the place is really nice. its like boracay 15 years ago. A nice place to spend some quiet time.

thats for easy diving resort but there are 4 other resorts in the area. Takatuka lodge is also nice

Alternatively - and more realistically - I could just fake a nervous breakdown and "disappear" in the PI for a few weeks and come back to work a few weeks late with a good tan claiming complete amnesia.
