want to remove the plastic D-ring from my BC. Can't seem to find D-rings that are split on the flat side. In other words I plan on breaking off the plastic D-ring and feed the webbing loop through the D-ring opening. I know these rings are out there, just can't find them. Guess its time for the hardware store if you guys haven't seen them online...

No, that's my predicament. I'm trying to avoid using key rings out of desperation...

You could buy regular D rings and get out the trusty dremel or small grinder wheel and make your own split.

Even a hack saw and a small flat file might work in a pinch if you're really motivated.
Need a vise of course to work on it.

O2, I think Paul is talking about buying a D ring and using a dremel or hacksaw and file to make the split.

thanks guys...looks like i'll be going the the local hardware store and most likely cutting then open.
