Being a Specialist with a Health dept and quite a cook in my own right I had to speak up....

Toast..Light brown with preserves
Sausage... Cooked to an internal temp of 155*F.. Salmonella is not the issue... Trichinella (a parasitic worm) is
Eggs should be cooked. salmonella is the issue

I just found this thread, but wanted to tell you that Rule #2 was great!!

Just for all of you who do actually need to know,
We are both going through compromise.
So, I cook the toast pasty white and she eats my spicy food (even though she hates it.)
(Having lived in Thailand and Malaysia for so long, I am addicted to chilli, have to have it with everything)
I love her very much, so if she wants pasty white toast with 2cm (1 inch) of butter on it, then that is what my baby gets!
and I admit she has only ever once complained about something that I gave her that she ate, and I actually was expecting it, so it was not a big shock.

Heads Up - I have just moved in with belushi - and in the process lost my computer to my dad - so at the moment I spend my time fighting with belushi to use his!!! (He keeps getting well annoyed that I keeping logging him out and me in hehe x  )

Tom...why is samonella not a worry in sausages??? I have never caught samonella except from some dodgy mayo stuff in spain. I thought samonella could also be caught from undercooked meats?

Belushi....the agreement was you tell me thats its spicy before i start eating it tho so i can have a glass of milk....you didnt last night and i cant taste my toast this morning!!!!! And i love u 2 hun! x

It is an intestinal organism found in birds, lizards, and turtles. Eggs can be contaminated with salmonella from the chickens. In the states there are egg farms that are certifed salmonella free. The mayo you ate was made with fresh eggs and not kept at a proper temp, thats how you got sick. Undercooked chicken and turkey are the most common means of contracting salmonella. Otherwise it would be a cross contamination issue. Sausage is most commonly made from pork and Salmonella is not an organism that is found in pork. Trichinella is a parasitic worm that is found in pork. In humans all it does in migrate into a big muscle and form a painful cyst.

Well it sounds like ScubaBaby and Belushi might survive the battle of the cooking after all. For a while it was quite dicey.

Just remember if the food is horrible smile and just say through clinched teeth, That is great! Next time you want to cook it let me know and I'll treat to McDonalds heheheh

I think she can cook, she can clean, she can bring home the bacon, I think she is snookering Belushi into a false sense of her blondhood hehehehe
