Reading this thread I couldnt help thinking "give the exposed bit a healthy slap", but when I returned from my daydream I modified that to use your original comment.

"Excuse me miss, you seem to have a wardrobe malfunction back here"

BluOrchid2:
I'd probably bounce around a bit to give the attendees their money's worth, LOL.

Hmmmm, my kind of girl! I know, I know, all the good ones are taken....

;)

I think I would just go over to her and say, "Excuse me. You may need to readjust your bathing suit." I wouldn't be offended by that and would probably appreciate it.

QUOTE=miked]Hi everybody,

Here's the situation:
I was on a dive boat, which had approximately 20 people on it, (a few couples, a few single divers, and a couple of small groups.)
While doing the usual "time killing on the way to the dive site", it became apparent that one young lady had a " wardrobe malfunction" with the bottom of her two-piece bathing suit. At the risk of being indelicate, but for clarification purposes, one "cheek" was completely uncovered.

The young lady in question, was walking, standing, bending, checking gear, etc., oblivious to the situation.
{In rereading that last sentence, it might sound as if I was staring or gawking. I wasn't, but this did take place in the shaded area of the boat, which was not tremendously large.}

My question : What's the most, polite, proper, mannerly, acceptable, etc. thing to do in that situation:
Say something to her?-if so how?

Get another female to tell her? (had I known any on the boat I'd have probably done that)

Ignore it - i'm being old fashioned?

or ???
Help,and thanks,
Mike[/QUOTE]

I think I would break into my finest rendition of "Blue Moon" as I have done on other occasions when this has happened. Most of my ScubaDucks are girls and things tend to "pop out" when they are that tight. The girls are lots harder on themselves then I am, so I don't give it a second thought.

If you feel uncomfortable about approaching a young lady, it might be appropriate to tell one of the crew (a DM on the boat) and they are generally able to discreetly and professionally handle the situation with no consequence or embarrassment at anyone's cost.

You know, if that happened to me, I wouldn't think a thing of it. If I'm on a dive boat, it means I'm on vacation somewhere tropical, and what's a little skin. Who cares. It's just skin. But that's just me. Obviously not the type to think a guy's a jerk for shouting "strip show" if my bikini top comes off. ;) I'd probably bounce around a bit to give the attendees their money's worth, LOL.
Just caught this thread, very amusing, however on a serious note, would you want only one cheek showing? You would only tan one, and that would look kind of off with the other being whiter. Also what was to stop mike from walking up and helping her back into her suit???? ;) These wardrobe malfunctions are more of a pain when stripping out of wetsuits, even for guys. A quiet word, if any at all, seems the best approach, actually to a stranger, i probably wouldnt bother, a friend i would, but also would not stare/gawp at a stranger or make a big thing of it.

Ok, personally I combine what I like to think are the best parts of subtlty and crudeness...

I would have walked up to her and quietly said...

"Is that a half moon, or are you just happy to see me?"

I would have said, in my best British accent, "Cheeky wench, aren't you?"

Kidding, of course . . .
I think I would have positioned myself between her and the rest of the contingent and discretely mentioned the situation.

In these days of thongs/string bikinis, etc., you can take it to the bank when I say that a WEDGIE feels like a WEDGIE no matter what you're wearing. It wasn't bothering her to show a half-moon, obviously. It was nice of you to feel concerned, but I doubt that she was! LOL.

i was on a boat where on guy's bating suit was riding a little low, our instructor says (some what loudly) "crack kills, ___ put it away" but everyone had been together for about a week at that point, so i dont recomend it in your situation.

LOL That's hilarious.

But seriously, like so many other people have said, I honestly don't see how she couldn't know that half her butt was hanging out. I mean, just like you can tell when your underwear's half way up your crack, you can tell when you swimsuit is too. But *even if* she didn't know, I would just leave it alone unless she was your friend. What you don't know can't hurt you (in this case anyways).
