About how old was the girl? If she was around the TEEN years say" Excuse me Im not trying to sound like a dirty old man, however - side of your bottom is showing" Any older than a Teen just take her to the side and tell her right straight out. Then after seeing her fix the problem if she turns red, just smile and walk away. Just be polite.Turtle gal

If her suit was up her butt, I doubt she was oblivious. Just sayin'.

You people are way too genteel. If I saw someone's bits showing and I didn't think they particularly wanted them on display, I'd mention it to them, boy or girl. Politely, of course.

On a dive boat, things happen. You have to get used to the idea that most people are wearing only what amounts to a wet Kleenex and accidents happen. Snot, too! :D

Thanks for the replies, gentlemen and ladies,

I was leaning towards a subtle, light approach, but the proper circumstances did not occur.

Turtle gal- she seemed to be "mid 20's"-still young compared to me

C'mon ladies...how 'bout some imput???
You mean, "in-butt:(LOL) :crafty:

This may sound "picky", but as a female that has worn thongs, how can you not know that your bathing suit has gone up?.... she probably didn't mind it so much. "Butt" it definitely wasn't oblivious to her..if you felt it was, then definitely mention it to her..she will appreciate it.

I would have at least taken a picture before I told her.

lol... but seriously, unless they knew each other well, he shouldn't have added to her embarrasment like that... christ...

Unless you're about to fix the entire world, there's no reason to say anything. It's like saying "you forgot your purse." Its extremely polite but not strictly appreciated. They're more like us than you think. I know, its hard to believe.

Since there hasn't been an overwhelming host of female input yet, I'll add my $0.02 worth. Most deffinately - tell me, as discreetly and politely as possible. I'll thank you, and quite possibly buy you a drink at the after dive gathering.

OTOH, if you're the disgusting pig of a Captain previously mentioned, you'll never see me or my friends on your vessle again.

Scuba-sass :-)

My tendency is to mention potentially embarassing things to strangers as politely, delicately and discretely as possible and it has usually been appreciated.
