What to do when you move?

I've read here (a few times) that some LDS don't give great service if you didn't purchase your grear with them. What do you do if you made your purchase at one LDS, ended up moving, and now need your grear serviced? Do you mail it back to the one where you bought your gear from? Or do you just go in to the new LDS? Just wondering because grear is under warrenty, and has free parts for life.

I just make friends with a new LDS wherever you moved and let them know about your recent move..Any reputable DS would be happy to service for you as they know good service leads down to business down the road for them

I would tend to agree, find a new shop. Stay far away from the shops that give you an attitude if you didn't purchase your gear from them.

If I were you I would check with the LDS. I call the guys at my LDS all the time about gear deals i've seen, prices being asked for used equiptment etc etc. and I always get good advice from them even if i'm not buying from them. I've even had the service guy at the shop get in the water with me to take a look at used gear prior to me buying it and he didnt charge me a dime.

Why would they do that? Well they get the $$ for servicing all my gear, they get my references from friends and family on where to go to take classes etc and any new purchases I make i'll pay more to get through them since I like and trust them explicitly.
