It looks like yet another dive magazine has been spawned due to the rift at British publication 990 Magazine (http://www.deepimage.co.uk/home_pages/stenmar.htm). BEYOND THE BLUE is being published by a former 990 staffer, and it looks like he dragged a lot of the technical diving talent from 990 as well.

They are offering a FREE trial issue as well - check this link on Leigh's website:
http://www.deepimage.co.uk/home_pag...offer.htm#ISSUE

Also, the premier issue of WRECK DIVING magazine will be available at the end of this month. This magazine is devoted entirely to wreck diving (no purty fish!), so it should be interesting. Articles in the first issue include those from Gary Gentile, Leigh Bishop, Cris Kohl, and yours truly. Check it out:

Divers Ocean Planet (http://www.diversmag.com) is a good magazine as well, one that focuses on the fun in diving and avoids articles of repetitious subjects that plague other magazines.

Cheers,
Mike

Sweet! Can't wait to see the first issue of Wreck Diving -- sounds like a great pub. Thanks.

Rodale's SCUBA magazine seems to be the pre-eminent SCUBA magazine in the US, but is there another widely read (hard copy NOT online) magazine in the USA??

Skindiver.

Uh - when is the last time you got a copy. Thought they bellyed-up.

Diver Alert Network members receive "Alert Diver" magazine - a very good read! :35:

Alert Diver has a US readership of well over 100,000, which makes me think that it is the #1. Undersea Journal claims a worldwide readership of 100,000 so my guess is that in the US they will be around 40,000.

Yeah, every DAN member gets "Alert Diver," as do sponsors, I would guess. Really a good rag.

Some here don't care for Rondale's "Scuba Diving," and I don't believe everything they publish from their testing, but it's a good one. Padi's "Sport Diver" is okay, about the only real benefit I get from high Paid dues - which I'll probably drop this year. "Dive Training" is really good. Need to try "Undersea Journal."

Are we missing any...? :notify:
