I drive a 2000 Chevy Blazer 2DR. Im a brand spanking new diver, so I havent actually hauled any gear yet. Well, except for the times to class and back, but that doesnt count does it? That was just my mask, fins, snorkel, and shorty wetsuit in a duffle bag. I havent hauled my tanks anywhere yet (no reason to since I cant get any air yet.....drat!!!) but that will change next week! Yahoo!!

I dont have a lot of gear to haul.....just the usual stuff. Biggest and hardest to haul will be my two tanks, but I got some styrofoam tank racks which should fit just fine in the back of my blazer. I cant wait to load it up for the first time!

Wasn't thinking diving at all when I bought my car. I complain every time I load (and unload it now). I usually find buddies with SUV's or trucks or vans.

But, my car is a disposable. Only has to last me the rest my time on Okinawa. Next location (which hopefully will be Oahu the end of this year) will be an SUV.

Wife says I cannot use the Tahoe anymore so my new one is a 2002 Hyundai Elantra....

Style is the only way to go!!!

Just got a call -- some time ago I entered a contest to win a PT Cruiser -- apparently I'm now on the "short list" of possible winners.

If it happens, wheeeee an upgrade, and I don't have to spend any money on the car.... more for diving:D :D

4X4, short bed, regular cab, tank racks in bed. I can hold 4 tanks in rack, 4 sets of gear, a kayak, fishing rod racks in the front, and 2 people (4 on the beach). Best part - I simply "can't" drive everyone to the bar after the dive... they can't fit... therefore, I'm never the designee!

Toyota tundra with a 5 gallon bucket of water in the back so I can get the sand off my booties after the beach dive. I love it for diving and towing my XR 1800 twin jet yamaha to the river. I have a bed liner in it so that I can get ready and stay clean. Nothing beats a pickup truck for diving. With the Extra cab I can fit 2 guys up front and 2 smaller guys or gals in the back. I even bought the wet okole seat covers last year so I don't have to be dry to hop in the truck and go.

=-)
I have a 92 explore and my wife has 99 explorer(she will not let me carry any of my wet gear in it :upset: ) I have just enough room to carry my dive gear and a buddies +4 tanks and still have room for the after dive drinks:D .
