Holy loaded question!!!

...also, the one I use is the best. :D

Don't worry. Threads like this usually lead to a quick consensus, and rarely do people exhibit irrational choices for purely personal preferences.

Sudden thought: this question comes up a lot, and lots of random replies are always given, but I don't think we have ever had a poll, which might be a marginally more scientific approach...?

I think Jimmer hit the nail on the head though. People will vote for the reg they use that has given them good performance. Bottom line, there are alot of good, versatile regs out there in a wide range of prices.

I usually don't get involved in these threads --but I honestly think the better question would be, what is the best regulator for the most extreme conditions. I mean, most likely the extremis would be when a reg would fail. The chances are a regulator that would perform well in extreme cold, for example, would work very well in warm water. That's only an example, of course.

Lately I've been using Apeks XTX 100 and Aqua Legend Glacia regulators --phenomenal for cold water as well as warm water. For me, most regs are pretty good in warm water but I've had regulators freeze under ice so having something like an XTX or Glacia that simply doesn't freeze adds an incredible element of safety and security.

Didn't mean to hijack this thread, but for me, it's the extreme that matters.
