I eat normally. The only thing I've discovered is *unwise* to eat before diving is McDonalds food (if it can be called that). It causes massive heart burn; it's enough to make you think that an alien will rip it's way out of your gut at any moment.

I have brainwashed my kids to think if you eat mcDonalds you will die.

I always eat protein as I am prone to little dizzy spells otherwise. Eggs usually or if it is a midday charter I get a huge lemon grass chicken sandwich loaded with cilantro at this french Vietnamese place next to the boat. I always have a big kona coffee, or I would be unable to load my car!

A breakfast, sans any breakfast meat (unless I can get eggs over-easy and a boneless -not fried- breast of chicken). Burger King's croissant (sp?) with two eggs, no cheese nor meat, is a filling, non-greasy breakfast that is fast and cheap. I will not, however, purposely stop at a McDonald's for breakfast before a dive ever again.

During boat dives I bring a package of Double peanut butter Oreos, or the mint Oreos, plus something to drink.

Fish_Whisperer:
Jalepenos, chorizo sausage, green chiles, onions, a cup of cooking oil, and then wash the whole thing down with the blackest, oilyest coffee I can find. Yum Yum!

Ohhh...That's the "Warhammer Diet"!!

Sad thing is, in reality, that is not too far from the truth....
