Haigh is only a little warmer at equal depths I think. In Chicago in August the coldest you'll find in Lake Michigan is 47f. 7mm farmer john, hood, and gloves is all I use but I wouldn't try 3 dives in a day like that.
 
Yeah, I was looking at the summer water temps in the quarry and they
seemed to be chilly as well. I might just stay with something a bit shallower
and see if a full 7mm would get me through a dive or two at 55F - 60F.
 
wear hood, gloves, boots and you'll be fine. the first 2 or 3 min at 55 and colder you'll feel the cold then the body adapts and you feel fine.
