3mm full wetsuit for a tall person

Some good info. I have tried on a 2XL Aqualung Hydroflex. Length was good; felt a little tight in the chest, but that's probably what it should do. $199 at one of my LDS's, $215 online.

Try a Pinnacle brand rear zip one piece. Get the 3XL.
I tried the 2XL and it was way too tight, so I traded it for the 3XL and it’s perfect.

Will give it a shot. Fortunate that one of the 2 dive shops close to me carries Pinnacle. Was yours by chance the Venture or Cruiser, or something else?

i am 230 lbs 42 waist 6.2 i have a bare velocity xxxl fit very well.

I can also try this one on at my local. I know they have the 2XL, hopefully a 3XL also. Liked that it had zippers at the ankles to make it easier to put on/take off. Price online has fluctuated quite a bit since I've been looking ~$215 - $339. Dive shop is $339.

we have wetsuits that cost way more than $75... In part because asian sizing (read - cheap wetsuits) does not fit our bodies. In part because quality and fit matters...

I haven't purchased a 3mm full wetsuit in 16 years so was curious if anyone would say that they had a purchased something that 1) was not necessarily a well known brand and 2) did fit them. There is a lot there and you don't know unless you ask.

Just to clear up things, I'm not looking to pay only $75 for a wetsuit. I know I can get a decent suit for $200 - $300 - just hoped to get some reviews for some different suits (from taller divers!!)

It’s the cruiser. Really nice suit for the money, the only thing is it has 5 mil arms and 7 mil body.
I need 7 mil throughout. But in your case with a three mil you will be fine.

pinnacle are really good wetsuit i own one for a long time. it was the pinnacle with merino whool, don't recall exactly the specific name it was maybe the venture or cruiser not sure

I am similar dimensions and also have a Cruiser which I think fits tall. For what it's worth, I tried on a Venture at the same time and thought it fit considerably shorter.

Update

Tried the following:

Pinnacle 3xl - fit was good and suit was comfortable. Neckline was only issue for me as it was a little high and made of a different rubberized material - made me feel a little uncomfortable. Didn't ask the price.

ScubaPro 3xl was a good fit and comfortable. LDS would sell it for ~$220. Only drawback for me was that it had a short back zipper that I wouldn't have been able to zip it up myself.

Kona (I think that was the brand) 3xl. Fit was good, but large velcro area at neck easily caught on the neoprene. I don't think I've ever seen velcro stick that tight to anything. Also a short back zipper. Price was $249.95 at LDS but they were marking it down to $189.95.

Last suit I tried on was the Bare Revel in a 3xl. Also a good fit and very comfortable. The neckline isn't as high as the others but the back zipper was longer and I could zip it by myself. LDS selling for $249.95 and told me BARE wouldn't allow them to discount it.

I really wanted to purchase (and support) one of the 2 dive shops where I tried the suits on, but wound up getting the Bare Revel from Scuba.com for $199.95 + tax (free 6-7 day shipping.)

*A late edit here but maybe of interest: Could have gotten the same suit for the same price on Amazon (Prime) and received it in 2 days.
