I've been on WW since January 2000. Lost 51 lbs and have kept most of it off for almost 4 years. Yes, I've gone up a little and down a little through the last 4 years, but never gaining back more than 10 lbs. (Those I gained on an all-inclusive dive trip!!)

Anyway, I'm also an employee of WW....hired on after I got to goal. Good way to keep me accountable.

The reason for my post? Hang in there all you WW'ers! A new plan is coming August 22nd and I think you'll like it.

My thoughts...simplicity...ease....results....balanced....healthy...results...regularity....freedom......results.....see a trend? I've been a guinea pig for the new plan since April and it's awesome.

Safe diving! I'm heading to Roatan next month in between sojourns to the quarry.

Wow! Thanks for the heads up. Can you tell us more?

I can't right now due to a confidentiality agreement, but after Aug 22nd you can either go to WW's website or a meeting to get the scoop. I'll give more details after the 22nd. You might also check out the message board on www.dwlz.com....guarantee there will be a lot of chatter there after the 22nd.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've got about 37 pounds to lose. I am starting again on Monday, attending the meetings. I just need to come back after the first week! WW really is a great program. I just wish I'd stop eating like a pig and really follow the program. I know that going to the meetings will really help. Wow...you've really got my curiosity going after your statement about something new. I've been wondering what is was for a while when I heard it mentioned on WW online, but I forgot about it until now. How exciting! I can't wait.

Our leader told us about the same thing last week. She couldn't give any details but assured us that we'd all like it. There's been alot of guessing and rumors flying around the WW message boards. One I read said we'd no longer be journaling or counting points. LOL...that's what got me in this condition to start with!

Can't wait til the 22nd to get the true story.

This new plan will "rock your world"!! I have been very successful on it and NOT HUNGRY!

Hi Diver Lori,

Is it true that eating protein to a moderate degree, and limiting carbohydrates to a moderate degree, are not Top Priorities of the current Weight Watchers program?

I'm curious because -- while I firmly believe that different weight loss programs work for different people with different weight issues -- I know that those are two things I need to do. (My "knowing" is based first on extensive personal work with a doc who's a nationally known weight loss expert, and secondly with personal success.)

Obviously I'm not a Weight Watchers member, but this is what I've heard from my Weight Watchers friends -- who happen to be very happy with the program and who have had very good success.

I'm simply looking for enlightenment.....

Congratulations, and cheers,

:)

Judy

Judy,

I can't comment to the degree I would like to right now due to the "legalese" I signed in April. Come Aug 22nd I can have fingers that runneth over.

I can tell you that the current plan recommends whole grains, veggies and fruits for your carb options over refined carbs. Also the current plan has two different sub menu plans.....a high carb option and a high protien option depending on the individual members needs and preferences. All the member needs to do is ask their leader for the instruction sheet on either sub plan or both.

In WW, there is no "forbidden food". They've found that everything in moderation is the key to overall, longlasting satisfaction.

Can you comment on whether those of us who are only Online WW members will be able to benefit from this new system?

I've had ok success since I started in March 04, losing about 42 lbs or so. Unfortunately my schedule doesn't allow me to attend local meetings.

Thanks for the heads up
