The second platform has a small set of stairs that you can go down to the water.

Thank god for those "stealth stairs" stashed behind that platform. It would have been a pain to get in the water last week without those.
 
I was out this past weekend. I was only diving a single 95. You cannot do a giant stride from any of the platforms. In fact, once I wen down the ladder, I was standing on the bottom with my head and shoulders out of the water. I am betting it is going to get worse. Vis was bad down to 80 but then opened up very nicely. From 80-120 vis was great....

According to the LCRA:
