For some reason I have the feeling you are leaving out a great deal of detail here Mat. First I have to ask is there still a Vortex as we all knew it? Did you all raise maybe just a tad to muck hell over there? I ask these question for the simple reason today (Sunday) a person almost needed someone at the gate at Morrison to hand out tickets so a person could have a turn at diving in the spring. Poor old Gary of Gulf divers showed up around 10.30 and parked at the top of the hill beside us pulling his trailer he was to give a class that morning. He just shook his head and took a walk down the hill not long he returned still in disbelief

Now comes the funny part Marcy stopped by Vortex first on her way we were standing there at my truck talking about the size of the crowd and the low viz from being stirred up Marcy called up saying there were only about four cars at Vortex and no crowd. So old Gary the sly fox he is jumped into his SUV and headed over there leaving me and Shane with low batteries in our lights to try in navigate the spring and Im not talking the cavern either

So now my friend it is time for you to come clean and give us some more details of just what all you guys must have done over there

Hey.. an appology is in order here...

I did leave off Perone Ford and Vayu as my dive buds over at Morrison for the cavern session. Nice dive and I do like that place a lot. Good to dive with good buds in that environment. And the comraderie at Sally's was great. I think my face still hurts from grinning so much.

Hey..I am sure if the K had been there in that side cavern, he would have yet again wrangled a snake.....getting bitten underwater would sure have been a sight!! And yes we did forget the cameras for that dive and have no proof.. So..what was that thing.... A brown water snake...10 ft...I mean, 4 ft long...!!

A word for the wise.....

Sometimes we just need to say,

"What happened at Vortoberfest, stays at Vortoberfest".....:14:

NUFF SAID!!!

Hoss - this is a confirmed Brown Water Snake that I mis-identified at Ginnie Springs.

Looks like it could almost be the same snake :) Size, color, pattern and all :D

Kentley - not your wife? My apologies :D I just assumed!

Weekends events were paraphrased without too much detail for a reason, Hoss's words are wise. Pray for PG rated pictures and feel thankfull if you only have to endure PG13 ;)

Dang it..you should have told them that was the photo you took....in Morrison yesterday!!

Does look like the same markings...definately!!

Oh..and thank you for not messing with that thing....Of course I did see you swim hard to port when you realized that it was a snake...LOL:D

I remember when I was told the snake was a common brown water snake and I had to verify it myself. When I saw the snake at Morrison, I was 90% sure it was non-poisonous because of my experience with what I remembered being the same snake at Ginnie. While its not a poisonous snake, they are supposed to be very aggressive. I don't want to get bit, poisionous or not! :D
