I've had dives that were really DIR and then I've had a bunch that were filled with so much strokery that they made great stories over beers.

This preoccupation for calling oneself DIR (or making sure your not) is laughable.

Either do the dive or do not...have fun while you're doing it and try not to hurt yourself.

I must say, I learn the most from the "divers who execute DIR dives". That's what I am calling them from now on... DWE...Divers who execute or Dwedir's

Look..I just solved the whole problem, somebody call the press.

The biggest value to DIR has been the hundreds of thousands of hours of debate electronically. If DAN could get as much effort put into dive research as has been put into debating DIR , DCS would be a thing of the past...
