The semester for the UT scuba classes is underway.

If you are a DM or instructor and intersted in coming to one of the Lab sections at the Jamail Swim Center send me a PM. We will be heading to the diving well in a couple of weeks.

jac

I have heard folks speak of this diving well, but really have no clue as to what it is??

it' the pool the UT dive team uses, it supports the spring boards and the 10m platform. under the 10m platform it's 18' deep and on the other end it's 16' deep. it is 25yards x 25yards. we start off in the lap pool for the first couple of weeks then move them (students) to the diving well.

it's as close to open water you can get while still in confined water. NBL excluded of course.

it's a great environment to teach in and for open water students it's a great place to learn in.

Sounds like it would be good for both!

Where are you located Jac? Your profile says Cairo, Ohio. UT also has a couple of campuses.......which one?

Sounds interesting. What days and times are the classes?

Thanks,
Matt
