How does me turning my VPN off compromise my security? Is that a real question or gaslighting?
I have the same question. A VPN simply helps keep you anonymous and hides the true source of your internet connection. If anything there are some VPNs that have malicious intent and can compromised the users security by mining their data.

No worse than your ISP or anyone in the middle doing so.

In that case, you should do some research and figure out the answer to your question.

I am well aware of the pros and cons of a VPN. My point, which if you look up you will see right over your head, is that as far as VPNs being more secure, it's not nearly so clear cut as you make it out to be. There are tradeoffs.

Dang

Guess I almost got it, too.

SB Member laxtrio4 messaged me this morning, said Wayne Graczyk of Neptune Divers Utah had the visor/ABV I had put up a wanted post over.

A guy with that outlook.com email responded, but he wanted paid with an apple gift card. Kind of didn't sit right with me, so I asked about other forms; he was super insistent.

lol so I apologized and bailed. Came back here to tell lax and as I was typing, happened to notice he was banned. Started looking for a mod to inquire as to why, found this thread, and... guess I know why.

I rarely gamble more than I am willing to lose on online purchases, but I thought a SB member was doing me a solid.

Ah well!

You did your "due diligence"; way to go.

If you paid via paypal using a credit card perhaps you could do a chargeback through your credit card issuer? They may end up denying it once they investigate and find out you selected friends & family, but it's worth a shot.
I did this YEARS ago and it worked for me then. Paypal took the money from the other party.

If you post a WTB you will typically get numerous scam attempts, just need to vet them.
This used to be really bad on WetPixel. I had numerous people reaching out to me when I posted a WTB ad. If they try to navigate to another platform, such as email, I refused. Magically their accounts would eventually get banned because someone else reported them.
