Hey just wondering what a vintage set of:

Professional US Divers twin AL Luxfer 80's with solidbar shiny chrome manifold with j valve

Would be worth

It is in absolutely flawless condition.

with new hydro vip and Vissual eddy test....not that that really matter cuz i dont think you would dive them.

They are dive able for sure, but if your going to buy them for a collection then you probably dont want to dive them so they stay in perfect condition.

These are NOT really colliectables, per se. Most people involved with collecting vintage dive gear don't get too excited about these age tanks. So are you selling them or are you just fishing for "value"? Best way to find out value is to do the eBay route. Whatever a person is willing to pay, is their value.

With the Al in those early USD tanks, their value is questionable. The manifold would be a decent part, harness is so-so.

The manifold has some value, the tanks are scrap metal. N

Twin corks??? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Is the manifold and band worth anything? That is the question.

The manifold is a nice one to dive with vintage tanks. Sell the tanks to a paintballer.

If you are looking to sell the components the best bet for me is to stalk comparable items on eBay. Watch them and follow-up to see what they actually sell for. Then you can set a price.

The other benchmark is what will it cost as new hardware. many divers are buying old for function on the cheap, not collectibility.

With those facts you can set a price on ebay or here on S.B. Don't ignore local options like Craigslist. You may have a smaller audience/get a little less but there are no fees or freight to eat into your return.

Otherwise take them and go diving. Since you mention visual eddy I'll assume 6351 alloy and side with Nemrod on the resale value of the raw cylinders.

Pete
