US Divers Conshelf 21 service?

I have 2 sets of the conshelf 21s that i picked up on craigslist and looking for advice on where to get them serviced. At this point I am leaning toward taking them to Scubatoys since it is about 60 miles from my house. However, I thought I would check the board and see if someone else had any recommendations. Is there a member that services these that others have used? Just looking for suggestions from others and idea of what it should cost. I know cost can vary depending on hoses but just looking for ball park.

I would go there. Roughly $70 for set of 1st/2nd for service with parts and it's by a guy that does just vintage regulators.

No idea when they were serviced last and not sure how to test them. So i figured it would be best just to get them serviced and start with rebuilt regs. I am Open to suggestions on what to look for and how to test.

Do you plan to keep these? Just get them serviced. Most of the crap I find on CL has been sitting outside for years. For a conshelf 21, maybe a decade.

Conshelfs have a very good reputation for going a long time between service. You can inspect or I expect Scubatoys can do just an inspection for you.

I would try the inspection explained on couv's thread. (guruboy's link) You can do it yourself. If you have any doubts, send it to vintagedoublehose. Bryan really knows what he's doing with those regs.

So i took the regs in and the ip locked in at 132ish and 138ish (dont remember the exact number) with no creep. Dive shop said it looked good to them, but with not knowing how long since last, recommended servicing. They recommended but said probably fine. What say you?

IP is one important check and that looks good. Check for pressure and vacuum leaks and pull a few connections to peek inside and look at the condition of a few o-rings. I expect I would be diving them until they gave me reason to have them serviced.

It does not really matter when theybwere last services. What matters is their performance and condition NOW.
