Like awap, I am also DIYing my all regs (10 regs.). I got the UC off ebay (cheap one). It is more than enough for my use. If you have the bigger bay, you can do the multiple cleaning at once though. I can assemble/disassemble other stage while one stage are in the cleaner.

Sure, the bigger and pricey UC can do the better job. But, I can run my UC twice to get the same result...

In addition, the busket is a "MUST HAVE" item.
 
I have a $50 UC that I bought from American Science & Surplus. It works fine. As a solvent I use either dilute Simple Green or vinegar.
 
thanks for the info. sounds like cheaper UC might be worth a look for a small time guy like me.

If you have the time and patience, you can get a really nice one on ebay at a good price - I got a Cole-Parmer with a heater, digital timer, temperature monitor and degas feature for $50:)

It's kind of like finding blue jet fins.
