Just got back (Sunday) from ten days in Cozumel staying at Casa Mexicana and diving with Tres Pelicanos.
This was a first for both, since for the past ten years we have stayed and dived with BA.
This was the first time we had stayed downtown and we found it to be convenient to be able to walk
to restaurants and shopping without renting a car or using taxis. Casa Mexicana suited us perfectly as
it has nice, clean rooms with balconies and linen change every day. The breakfast buffet was great, starting
promptly at 7 a.m. with about any kind of breakfast food, including eggs/waffles to order. The staff were
very friendly and helpful.
Tres Pelicanos provided a taxi to and from the Caleta for our dives on the Skniny Shark, a 33 foot, 10 feet
wide boat with a 300 hp Yamaha motor. The boat easily handled ten divers, although we usually had
four to six. An extra long boarding ladder made it easy to ascend with or without your gear.
The dive master and captain were very helpful and Servando (DM) was very good at finding small creatures
for the photographers. Everyone was able to dive their air.
In short, we will book this package for our next trip to Cozumel.
