Cozumel, Q.R. — A tour boat that took on water Saturday sank off the island of Cozumel. At least four nearby vessels came to the rescue of those on board when their boat began to sink.
Tourist boat La Perla, an island tour boat, had left the Aldora dock and set sail for the southern zone of the island when trouble struck. A failed bilge pump is being blamed for the afternoon accident that left the crew and passengers in the sea.

The incident happened Saturday around 4:00 p.m. near the Colombia reef zone when the boat was carrying 10. Everyone on board was wearing life jackets. They were forced to jumped into the sea as the stern vanished into the water. Several other boats came to their rescue.

The crews of the rescuing boats, along with members of the Harbor Master’s Office, later helped to tow sunken vehicle La Perla to shore. Authorities did not report any injuries during the afternoon incident.

How wonder how deep and if they will salvage it?
