hi guys, about to sign up for my tec course and need some DIN 1st stages, found these at a reasonable price, does anyone have any opinions on this make/model? I have been unable to find any reviews online

Cheers,
Lee

TILOS makes regulators?

.... and they make Tec Regulators?

I guess they do make them after a quick search. But they look like ODS 1st/2nd stages. so OEM.

Regulator :: Tilos, Inc

ODS regs are pretty common place and a lot of manufacturers use ODS. However, I've never heard of anyone using a TILOS regulator for recreational diving, much less TEC diving.

There's no telling what changes on the internals they had done. (each OEM manufacturer does them a little different, but mostly all the same).

Do you really want to be 160' deep with a regulator that doesn't have a proven track record yet? :popcorn:

EDIT: Looks like it one model of it "ran out of juice" on the test machine when ScubaLabs did a review of it.

I've seen them before under a different name on here... One of my dive buddies actually uses them. He likes them. His aren't Tilos branded, but they're ODS

For the price I saw, I'd check out the new HOG first stages. Piranha and DiveRightinScuba has them. Both frequent the board. They have rebuild kits available for them, and have a few different models. Apeks DST clones, and Scubapro MK25 clones

Ill second that about the HOG's cant beat the price. buy them at DRIS and get your points and you can probably get a new set of hoses to go with them...or whatever else you want.
