I doubt it's that so much as that people are spending more time in and around the water than ever before, and that media outlets have realized that even the most minor shark-related injuries are big news, so more people are in a position to be attacked, and there's a higher percentage of attacks being reported.scubastew:Seems like the sharks population may be getting too big for the available food supply and now considering humans as lunch meat...

That said, I'm looking forward to doing a bit of shark fishing myself next month. Not for science, for sport. If I happen to catch a mako, it'll be for food too.
