Thanks for the link. Sounds like he has learned some of the most important lessons which are about life rather than just scuba. I liked his comment about how he has changed: "I'm a different person to what I was in the navy. I was a hard arse and then when the sun went down, I was the oldest teenager around," "I've loosened up and I'm more confident about what I am able to do. I've learned more in the six years after my survival than the 20 years in the navy."

I'm sure more than one person has come to that epiphany later in life. Lucky he got a chance to live it.
