Our dive club did a cleanup at a local fishing pier on Saturday. One of the divers found a 5-foot long broadsword ... I think that qualifies as about the strangest thing I have personally seen found by a scuba diver ... :11:

They started taking bids this past weekend. I've sent a letter. ReefGuy said it didn't look like any of the beach was lost.

I also found a mantis shrimp in his hole on the reef. It'd be a shame for the city of Venice Beach to kill that reef.
