Just my two cent's... but I think if it were someone else who didn't have the reputation this guy does it wouldn't be much of an issue. I made the original post in this thread and nobody got excited until the information about this guy came to light. Heck some of us including myself joined his forum and even posted there. For the same reason that you post on other forums too... because we want to promote diving in the Philippines. If not for his reputation, I doubt anyone would have a big issue with any of this.

Kim did you have a look at the links I posted above?

I should add that my original post didn't say anything about "fake"... I think I used the word "other".... big difference

I suggested that we send out the links that some of us have came across in a simple google search to all the facebook PPD and let the chips fall where they may. I never got any feedback from the group on that suggestion and I'm not going to act publicly without a consensus from the group.

I had some private messages back and forth with Stel who you remember wasn't to happy and didn't "understand" why we kept referring to the "original" PPD. I sent her the links. She read them. She wrote me back and said now she understood. All smoothed over now.

She even posted on facebook earlier about her upcoming trip to Bali. I was still at work and told her I'd send her a message when I got home and include some links, which I did. I suggested she talk to Mike Veitch since he's down there. When I checked PPD on facebook before logging off, I saw that Chip had posted some links for her and also suggested talking to Mike Veitch (are we sure it's okay to suggest that )

Perhaps instead of censoring ourselves, we should just get it all out in the open. We might lose some members... or we might get a lot more once people understand that it's not petty jealousy, but in fact based on this particular person's reputation....
