I talked to Matt and he did not know of any online advertising like this website so I wonder where they got the Atlantis logo from?
 
you only have to think of wikipedia and you will know that anything can be taken from, written about and referenced to.... :D
 
 
I'm not sure what the "real PPD" is.
Seems to be pretty important in some peoples eyes though.

I miss what it was, although now I'm beginning to wonder if I was looking at the same thing.

I think there have been chances missed.....but yeah... I'm nobody...so my opinion is as rubbish as anyone elses.

I preferred it when it was about the Philippinnes...and not just a group of friends. I don't have anything against friends, but lets face it....there's a difference in scale.......
 
The thing that matters to us Kim is that the other one is run by a shady guy who does a lot of spamming. We don't want to have the name associated with that type of operation. If it was just another bunch of divers it may well be different.

Wouldn't you rather be diving with friends,instead of an entity fraudulently pushing an agenda/business? And I think you do give a poop, or else you won't be commenting.

Bitter? I think disappointed would be closer to the mark. As someone living in Asia my goal has always been to try and promote this part of the world on forums so that folks from elsewhere get a flavour. I don't really care too much which forums, although I'm obviously human and know quite a few of the people involved. To me there's always been a divergence between those who simply want their own group, and those that are more interested in a greater goal. There's no right or wrong, or better or worse. There's nothing wrong either way.

I'm happier contributing to some ideas more than others though - just like anyone else.

It's my personal opinion that the PPD forum here on SB excited a LOT more interest a couple of years ago than it seems to now.

That's not bitter.....it's an observation.

Anyone trying to follow the idea somewhere else is probably just attempting to cash in on that. There are trend setters and the rest. The rest are pretty uninteresting.

As someone said.......imitation is the highest form of flattery.

Just my two cent's... but I think if it were someone else who didn't have the reputation this guy does it wouldn't be much of an issue. I made the original post in this thread and nobody got excited until the information about this guy came to light. Heck some of us including myself joined his forum and even posted there. For the same reason that you post on other forums too... because we want to promote diving in the Philippines. If not for his reputation, I doubt anyone would have a big issue with any of this.

Kim did you have a look at the links I posted above?

I should add that my original post didn't say anything about "fake"... I think I used the word "other".... big difference :)
