I think we've all learned from the telling of that story...however, air certifications do exist to 180fsw, and no one here is suggesting anything to the contrary. I don't think this thread is intended to be a general debate over bottom gas mixes, is it?

Nope, it is just a reaction to your statements of being "narced out of your brain." You need that brain to make emergency decisions...

I like to think I posses a fair amount of intelligence and a fair amount of diving experience, so I was probably still at least as 'with it' as someone who just took a standard OW class and jumped off the back of a vacation boat...:11doh:

I would hope so at those depth. I don't think someone just getting certified would attempt those depths....

Ahh, warm, fuzzy, opinionated SB banter...how I have missed thee...

:cuddles:

but can we try to keep this thread focused on the tasks and not gases, if we want to have a discussion on approriate mixes for the bottom of travis lets start a new thread in texas swamp divers forum.

Just a request, I don't own this board.

LOL! Isn't that kinda the same thing? Nevermind...

I'm reading your transitioning to technical diving paper on liquidtravel.org...good stuff...have we met?

No, having an opinion is not the same thing as being opinionated.

opinionated - obstinate in your opinions
opinion - a personal belief or judgment

I am and was not trying to be opinionated.

Can't say if we have met. I am out at the lake, Flower Gardens, rigs etc... a great deal so there is no telling.
