Yeah well . . . you haven't been much help in the MUFFINHEAD protection department!! :blinking:

and who's been following me on the boats whispering "here kitty, kitty, kitty....." :shocked2:

I had alot of fun on the 2nd Annual Alex Gonzalez Birthday Celebration Divestraviganza! We loaded up the boat with equal amounts of food and dive gear and headed out for an all dayer. I brought along the Friends of Scubakev and REEF PHOTO & VIDEO Memorial Camera and discovered that the Freinds of Scubakev and REEF PHOTO & VIDEO battery lasts for about three and a half dives, but I was really laying on it pretty heavily, relishing the instant response and machinegun burst quickness. Here's the poop on the trip:

Seas were about 2 feet or so, if I recall, maybe 2 to 3 towards the end. The vis was anywhere between 40-60 feet, blue water, but smokey. The current was flip flopping north and south, but was very gentle in all cases. We did the Castor, Delray Ledge, Clubhouse and The Jump into Lynn's.

The Castor was awesome... pretty clear water and not alot of current.

Sorry to keep posting pics of the damage, but the new camera really does a much better job of taking pictures of big things, so I'll post these last two and then no more damege pics until there is new damage. Honest Injun.

Net Mage finds his Zen on Delray Ledge. He has excellent trim in his rebreather. Wait a minute...rebreather... where are those bubbles coming from???

Netmage was kind enough to share his photos from the trip as well, but I have to go to work. I'll put them up in a couple of hours. Thanks Tim, and thanks everyone else for coming! What a great day that was!

This guy was just a hair short, and Deepstops spared him.

Hey everyone.

Here are a few video still frames from my trip with Kevin on Nov 29. Great viz, lots of critters (eel-a-palooza!) and beautiful weather and sea conditions made for a great time for everyone.

Enjoy!

Doug

PS: went out with Alex on Monday PM and did Gazebo and Lynn's Reef. Stills of that to be posted in the next day or so...

Hey everyone.

More video stills for you to enjoy. My friend "Hall of Famous" Joanie and I went out with Alex this past Monday to enjoy these great reefs. If the previous weekend was known as Eel-a-palooza, then Monday was known as White Spotted Filefish-a-palooza. There were at least 8 pairs on the dives. More than I have seen in a while for sure!! There were also a couple of nurse sharks to enjoy.

We were accompanied on this dive by a new friend of ours "Flat Stanley". Those of you with kids will know who HE is. Joanie designed a custom wetsuit for him out of 2 Ziplock bags and he went diving with us.

Alex did an awesome job taking care of us and dropping us dead on the reefs. The weather was perfect and conditions couldn't have been better.

Enjoy the stills and if you DON'T know who Flat Stanley is, send me a PM and I'll find a 2nd grader to explain it to you!! ;)

Doug
