Many of our SoCal divers (well at least as many as I can count on one hand) have already heard that I have become a grandfather for the first time. Grand daughter Allison Rayn Corbett was born May 2nd.
This is a very unique event. It is the first time I've "witnessed" ("from a distance" as Bette Midler sang and a day or so late) the birth of a future dive buddy. Hmmm, I did see my son shortly after his birth, but didn't realize at the time he was mine! Yes in about 10 years, the little one will join her daddy and grandpa diving the kelp forests. How very cool!
