LOL, and I'm still thinking about STARTING on my taxes!!!! I am lazy and use turbotax, but then my taxes are fairly simple, but I do itemize. I tend to proscrastinate because I might owe!!! I like to keep my withholding as low as possible. No free loans to the government.

There is no reason you cant do it and just wait to file it nearer the deadline, if i were concerned i would do it that way and either file immeadiately or delay depending on the direction of cash flow. Yes i am going to revise my W-4 a bit, i am not content with the loan to the government, the extra a month might come in handy, who knows?

Simon, divide your refund by your total annual paychecks. Then direct deposit it into a special savings account. You'll still have your 'refund' next year and you'll be able to take me diving then.
