If you notice, he's got a scubapro stab jacket for his "wing". It was the early 80s when that photo was taken, gear configuration has changed a bit since then.

I dont care when the photo was taken, the fact remains that boots on cylinders cause no risk. But some people will never admit it. I am not here to convince you, people can make up their own mind when applying some common sense.
