Was the "Nice Hog" on the Tony? If so that is the one I have in the cooler!
I just got back from my trip to Boynton. Did you find any bugs or shoot any fish while over there? I got three bugs (three others escaped my net) and one very large Hog.
After I get my gear washed up I will see if there are any good pics to post. Saw Flipper (dolphin) on the last dive along with and a nurse shark each day (Sat & Sun). My dive buddy was petting the shark and he didnt care. Lots of eels.
Our dives were on: Capt Tony, Gulf Stream reef, Delray Ledge, and Gazebo reef. We did see the Loggerhead coming back in yesterday afternoon. Did you guys end up on the Loggerhead or did you go on another charter??
Vis was good Sat afternoon about 70' but today it was much lower and the seas were wishy washy, but no-one lost their lunch!
Definitely have to pick him up on the way, lol. Wonder what the missus said
What I can say... Jess get the damn pics I took to me a.s.a.p.?
Honestly, I had soooooooooo much fun! Thank you everyone
FYI, The wreck pics Jess posted are of the Captain Tony. As she said, it was 100 ft viz and NO current! As a matter of fact, there wasn't enough current to keep the line taught. It was wallowing as if in air. Gotta love it!
RealJet you did great, my friend! Sambo, you are a natural. I hope you stick with it.
As for Boats, he was only teasing me about not making M&G. That is what we do around here. :cool2: Though when I post these pics for him to see, I won't need to rub it in. As a matter of fact I won't say a word. Hopefully someone can head over and console him. Boats please don't cry, there is always next trip
Anyway, I think everyone gets the idea. The storm, as storms often do, brought in big blue water. It was truly amazing.
The only thing missing was meeting up with Joyce. bTW Joyce thanks for all of your help. You already know that I think you rock. Tim, great group. As always, enjoyed spending time together. Kev, thank you for helping with the reports over the last few days.
Onespeed, after you pulled away, I realized, you really sux, in case no one has ever told you that I drive all the way to FtL. You tell me you got a few lobsters then drive away. That is wrong, on so many levels. Especially considering you weren't taking them home to eat.
Adeeba deeba, that's all folks.
Jess, where are the piccers? Snap to it sistuh :shocked2:
BTW, I don't know if anyone has ever had this opp but I was the last one down on the Tony. There was not another human being anywhere. It was absolutely amazing. That is when I made friends with the ray Ray and a couple of the Goliaths that I hadn't spent time with earlier. It was breathtaking all that viz, all that life, and just me. Heaven. Not that I don't like my dive buds - but I think you know what I mean.
Okay who is posting here? Robin?
Im CRYING! IM CRYING! Wow guys and gals, just awesome! :mooner:
WOW! That vis, just fab!

I just wanted to say that I have really enjoyed meeting divers on this forum so far. The group I was with this weekend, and last were great to dive with and just hang out with in general. I went out with some very experienced divers over the weekend and was absolutely amazed at the control they had and how helpful they are to less experienced/new divers. They could stay within inches of the bottom (without silting us out at all) and without endangering the reef at all. Currently, I hover a little higher than the experts to insure that I am not touching any of the reef, coral, etc. MissD, Larry, and III have a lot of dives and have some very good training....it now gives me a goal to strive toward. (Ann I wasn’t watching you, you may be just as skilled :blinking: )
It has been my pleasure to dive with all of you and thank you for giving me tips, advice, constructive criticism and for allowing me to pick your brains as much as possible!
*III and Anns daughter, Sambo, is a natural and an awesome chicka!

It's okay. There, there. There will be other times. Now dry your tears and pick your chin up
