Okay, new thread so that I can create a poll. This is in follow-up to http://scubaboard.com/showthread.php?t=196891

Since there is a bit of debate regarding where to go for the Meet and Greet on Sunday, August 19th that a number of people have expressed an interest in - I think that a poll would be the best way to make a final decision as to the site.

Choices:

1. Breakwater Cove - Depths: 15 to 60 feet; Skill Level: All; Visibility: 10 to 30 feet; Photography: Great macro for nudibranchs and other invertebrates; great place
for sea lion shots. Site: http://www.saintbrendan.com/Nov05/SanCarlos.html
2. Lovers Point - Depth: 20-60 feet; Visibility: Generally good, 20-40 feet; Skill level: All. Photography: Good macro for nudibranchs and octopuses; fair wide-angle. PLEASE NOTE: At Lover's we would have to be off the beach by 11:30 AM. Site: http://www.saintbrendan.com/cdnjuly01/mont7.htm
3. Monstery Beach - Skill level: Intermediate to advanced with beach diving skills.
Depths: 15 to 60 feet; Visibility: Generally good, 15 to 50 feet; Photography: Good macro and wide-angle photography.

Please vote so a final determination and head count can be made early next week!

Oh, I found out that my BBQ will not fit in the car with all my gear. But I will bring sandwich stuff so everyone can have some lunch, and maybe even some homemade brownies or something! :)

Looking forward to meeting up with you all!!!

Separate the "special" brownies from the normal brownies so I don't test positive on a pee test. :) Here's a thought on the location... Still could do breakwater, but we could do the wall and then the Metridium Fields or vice versa. I'd rather go somewhere new, but I'll be happy as long as I get to dive. :)

I was actually hoping someone would drag my you-know-what out to find the Metridium Field.

I know how to get to the metridium field! I hvae yet to have a "good" dive at the breakwater... people that way owe me a wolf eel sighting, btw!!!

The metridium field is awesome. I could do 3 dives on it and still find more cool stuff. Lots of nudis there, esp. D. Iris and D. rainbow!

:) I've only done the Metridium field once, but I really enjoyed it. Glad I suggested it. :) I know it is still a little early, but what time do we think we're starting?

I was thinking doing the early route - meet 8 or 9? Any suggestions?

Should I bring some Mozart?
