I'm a Fish!
So this isn't necessarily a diving question. But I use diving equipment. I'm a commercial clammer in Southern New Jersey. I work in the back bays and get into waste deep water and pick them up with my hands. This year has been especially cold. The bay is about 50% frozen and water temp is in the 30's or 40's. I am looking for tips on staying warm. Currently I am wearing a 7mm Henderson Thermoprene farmer John and Jacket. Under that I wear a 7mm hooded vest. On my feet I am wearing 8mm xcel wetsuit boots with 5mm socks. The gloves I am wearing are 7mm. The biggest problem are the tips of my fingers going numb everything else is ok. Do you guys have any ideas of how I can stay warm/ break the wind/ keep my hands warmer?
