As for rooms, I'll take what I'm given, but best off in a single (my wife claims I snore - don't believe it myself...).

Recommendations by the locals on best times is the way to go.

More i think of it, more i want to do this trip!

Whale sharks is a magic word to me....

But, as i said, i really cannot commit so far in advance. Once dates are finalized then i can figure out. Nov/Dec ok for me, Feb no good....

Here's another diver resort in S. Leyte and they do show pictures of their cottages, http://www.leyte-divers.com/en/ Leyte-Divers are located in San Roque which is NW of P. Burgos (Peters Dive Resort is located here).

Yup, seen that. Problem is they only have a small boat.

How about this resort http://www.sogodbayscubaresort.com/index.html. Newer and cheaper too. Just don't know if it can accommodate a large group of pasaways, i'll inquire though.

Hopefully, they can accommodate a large group, but it may be a small resort as well. However, they are also located in P. Burgos. We should ask them how close they are to Peter's Dive Resort as well.
