Southern Leyte Diving (December 2006)

Hell No!!! I'd go there even if you guys won't. Subzero's mid-december arrival might just be a blessing to us considering that that period (xmas) increases the odds in our favor of diving with the whale sharks. If you read my earlier trip report posting i.e rio cahambing's diving experience in sogod bay and manhattandivers's post you will not have any second thoughts of doing the dive, or have you? . Lets do this guys...

Good. You won't be diving alone as I will be there too. Just shot an e-mail to Phil Bohol Divers since I'm heading there right after Leyte. BTW, I'll be doing the Cebu route to Leyte. How bout you?

From an earlier email, the Cebu to Bohol route is currently suspended (Cebu-Hilongos). If that is the case come December, we'll take the Manila-Tacloban flight and have the resort personnel pick us up (of course with an additional fee).

But I prefer going back to Manila via Cebu. PAL have more early/late evening flights out of there. I'm thinking of our time-to-fly countdown here.

That sux about the cebu to hilongos ferry. I too would prefer cebu but I won't have any problems with the time-to-fly restriction. Planning to spend at least my last day in Bohol for sightseeing. Never seen those hills and the tarsier (I know, it's touristy but hey, I am a tourist )
