Which resort are you staying with? Don't forget to post a report here when you get back.manhattandiver:Sogod Bay Scuba Resort is located right next to Peter's. Phil and Pedro used to work at Peter's, before joining up with Ron and converting Ron's house into the center of the resort. This all took place after my visit to Southern Leyte in September. I haven't seen their new cabins, but Ron's house looked quite nice. I dove with Ron, Phil and Pedro while I was there and they were all great.
That being said, I really enjoyed staying at Peter's. He and his wife Lina were gracious hosts, the food was excellent and their dive boat had a ton of room. The accomodations were a bit rustic, but since then Peter has also added some new, upgraded cabins.
I can't tell you which operator to chose, but I can tell you that no matter who it is, you'll have a great time. Shore dives in general were amazing (the house reef is one of the best I've ever seen), Napantaw fish sanctuary (on the opposite side of Sogod Bay) has some stunning walls and the Padre Burgos town pier is one of the best macro / night dives you can imagine. I did 8 dives in Southern Leyte during my two days there and liked it so much I'm heading back in March. If you enjoy quiet, laid back places with tremendous diving, then just go!
