lragsac once bubbled...

Actually, Frank O, I (divingyogini, and also a friend of Dr. Bill's) am hoping to head out to Avalon the weekend of 11/15-11/16, although I think I can only dive on Sunday a.m. I'd be happy to practice skills with you prior to your DIR-F class, as long as it isn't in the thick of the kelp. In fact, I'm itchin' to get in the water with some other DIR-minded folks.

Cool, thanks for the suggestion, L. Apart from you only being able to dive on Sunday, I have an additional fly in the ointment with respect to the master weekend schedule that Motivation laid out . If I can get over there at all, I'm probably going to have to be on one of my quick-in-quick-out surgical strike Avalon single-tanker visits -- come over on the 6:15 a.m. boat and return ~5-1/2 hours later on the 11:45 a.m. (Ain't parenthood grand.) But Sunday would probably work as well as Saturday for me. So if the Saturday crowd wants to get the deep diving out of their system (Valiant or the USS Montana or whatever) to clear the decks for some easy skills practice Sunday morning, maybe that could work all-around. Anyway, I have to keep staring at the schedule to see if I can get over there at all. I'll get back to y'all ...

We blow off breakfast and dive.

geeze, I'd hate that.

:D

breakfast!?

Ain't that one of those overpriced undersized Catalina Express muffins?

I guarantee you, on the 6:15 I'm the guy with his head back against the seat, a little drool coming out the side of my mouth, toes up on the seat across from me.

On that boat, I am OUT... Snoozin. Sleepin. Zoned out, mouth agape dead to the world.

They sell muffins?

K

I don't remember muffins on the Express. But a bagel and cream cheese has been my breakfast on many a crossing.

Chris, on the other hand, will have the option of a freshly made breakfast burrito on the Sundiver tomorrow ... (sigh, would be more fun to be there, but that's life)

I wish I could be there.

Anyway, best breakfast burritos are at the ferry terminal in LB. Hard to believe, I know. Trust me...

I am not going to be able to make the trip. I feel so terrible about it but I had something come up that I can not pass it up.

Some friends suprised me with a gift of all expensives paid 3 day trip aboard the Peace that happens to be the same weekend as our big dive party in Catalina. They didn't know I was planning a trip so didnt check with me. I am so sorry.

I hope you understand. But it is something I can not pass up because i wouldnt be able to do it otherwise and my freinds would be really diappointed ifi told them i couldnt go especiually since they have already paid for me.

I am sure you guys will have a great time and I do want to dive and meet all of you soon.

Ana

Wow, I wish I had friends like that! Lets see, dive on Catalina for the day or on a 3-day liveaboard? Easy decision for me. Maybe we can reschedule the Catalina dive and I'll even get to go.

In any case, enjoy the Peace.

My B-day is the 17th. A little birdie told me there are plans for me on Sat. This thing is circling the drain fast.

I'm rescheduling for Sunday 11/23.

Anyone, anyone?

K

Well, you can always count on Dr. Bill. Where else can I afford to dive! Wrinkles- would your friends adopt me? Mine usually add a few (hundred) pounds of weight when they push me in the water.
