Might not be able to make this event, hope you all have fun though ;) I am sure i will see you around in the coming weeks with shore and boat dives coming thick and fast!

Orlando Eric:
We will have to all throw a trip together in the north area Jupiter sometime.. hmmm if I only new someone who was SPECIFICALLY TRAINED to plan trips, lead dives, and do all of that... there should be a person like that.. hmm ....

:33:

hrmmmmmmm! Are you still in crossover? I'll see what I can come up with, Jupiter isn't really a place I know well, I mostly dive out of West Palm Beach... I think I'm diving on this Wednesday with Diving Solutions with a Sb member from up north. Anyone wanna come along? We definetly need to all get together...

Amy, I've met my favorite people right here on ScubaBoard, you just need to come to some of our get togethers, you'll know a slew of (really awesome) people in a matter of minutes. Feel free to give me a ring anytime (772-370-2144 cell phone)

Cheers,
Vickie

WOW! That takes the fun out of it! ;)

Seriously, hit dives with us and you'll see that we've done dives together often enough that no planners are needed. OH! Hope to see ya at the meet and greet!

Lets just see what dives are planned that weekend before i commit to it. Plans have changed somewhat, will keep the date in mind ;)

ReneeC:
Greetings All!

After reading about the successful meet & greet held by the Central Florida SBers, it seems like a great idea to have one here in the South Florida area (as Jenny suggested).
Damn.. missed the Central Florida one by 2 weeks and it looks like I'll miss this a few days. I'll be in Palm Beach Gardens from Sunday the 12th - Thursday the 16th. By the 19th I'll be back in cold Chicago trying to remember just why i live here.

Well have fun all...

Bob

Just as a taster before the shore diving, i was hoping to snag the American Dreams 2 trip out to Tenneco towers for 12/18 - my b'day - still waiting on confirmation on that one, but have a couple interested ;)

ReneeC:
Your input please

I'm leaning toward encouraging lots of munchies and side dishes since there seems to be several people who will be coming at different times.

I have a pretty awesome buffet set up to keep things hot or cold all day. This way no one has to cook everytime someone shows up. So if I was to cook up a bunch of chicken and maybe kielbasa/hotdogs/bratwurst type of stuff and everyone else brings side dishes ...... what do you all think?

Let me know and let's start getting the food list together.

Also, Jenny mentioned a grab bag gift - I think that is a good idea as well. Shall we set a value of no more than $10.

I'm all for the grab bag idea--always fun! I've even done a version of it we've called a Chinese Auction, where after each person gets a gift, the next person in line has the option to exchange it for someone else's who's already opened one....can get pretty hilarious!

I'm still planning to make salsa (with chips, of course); I'll be happy to bring anything else that may be needed.....cups, plates, etc! What does our total head count look like so far?

See everyone there!

If you do the chinese auction, invoke the rule of three... a gift can only be stolen three times and you can't steal it back!
