I have this SMB bought at Sabang last Christmas for 800 pesos, and boy, the material is tough and really take a lot of air to fill up.

But seriously: I came upon this article some time ago as well. I always wondered why they never named the inventor though, so I chalked it up to the same thing as Armando Lite and Flores (for the armalite and fluorescent light). I guess write-ups that start with "once upon a time..." are a tip off.

Would be interesting if it were true though.
