Thank you for the update. I eagerly await for more updates on your journey into technical diving.

Best of luck to you!
Thanks!!! Right now I'm taking the rest of the week off from diving. In February I registered for TDI ANDP but held off on taking it until I passed GUE Fundies.
Well today, I dug out my sidemount tanks and got them topped off and I activated the e-learning link for ANDP. Next week and until the end of the year, I'm going to start diving SM in preparation for ANDP.
The journey continues!!!

Currently doing my e-Learning for ANDP. While looking ahead I was planning on taking Helitrox and then Trimix. Do I have to take Helitrox,.........can I just take Trimix and be done?

Helitrox is up to 150ft and Trimix is 200ft, my thinking is that since Trimix is up to 200ft, why take Helitrox? Just wondering,.......OK back to reading/studying thanks in advance.

can I just take Trimix and be done?

Yes, you can go straight from AN/DP to the normoxic course.

Helitrox mixes are great if your defined missions bottom out around 45m.

Some refer to the helitrox gateway as “Trimix Lite”. That seems like a pejorative term. Because of its hyperoxic mixes and positive implications for extending the mission, I prefer to think of it as “Nitrox Plus”.

If you go straight to the normoxic course, you can draw whatever mix your dive profile warrants whereas helitrox will have a natural limitation if your missions start going deeper.

Usually it's AN/DP or AN/Helitrox. Then (Basic) Trimix as a step toward Advanced Trimix. They used to have this chart on their site:

@inquis yes they do have that chart on the site. From reading the descriptions of extended range, helitrox and Trimix, I began to wonder that if my goal is Trimix, why do I need to take the other gas courses. My thinking at this moment is that I can dive Trimix for depths between 150ft to 200ft.

Thanks, I had thought you needed one to process to the next step until you got to Trimix.
I'm currently still doing the eLearning for ANDP, I just want to be prepared for the next step. Thanks again!

Helitrox is useful to eliminate any narcotic effects between 100 & 150 as you become proficient with deco stops. However, if you're already in the DP, I wouldn't do both that and Helitrox.

You might ask the instructor if you can switch without additional cost & do Helitrox instead if it's a concern. (There will be higher gas costs, of course.)

First either AN+DP or AN+HeliTrox, after that Trimix or Trimix-75.

Trimix-75 might be an interesting alternative for the normal Trimix course depending on where you are doing the certification and what kind of diving you are hoping to do in the future.

Still reading/studying ANDP and today I found the answer. With Trimix there are different mixtures for different situations. For me I'm looking at diving to a max of 200ft. So in my case I can breathe air down to 100-130 ft. (I've been to 130 numerous times with no issues)
Once I'm in that range I can switch over to a normoxic mix of 19/30, which will let me go down to as far as 200ft. I'm still reading and am getting more details but thanks for the quick replies. It's so awesome to have come across the answer and to FULLY understand. I'm so excited! Ok I'm getting some eye fatigue so I'm going to take a quick break.

If down around 200ft / 60m, consider going a little leaner on oxygen and a little richer on He for the gas density difference.

With 19/30, gas density is 6.2g/l.

With 18/45, it drops to 5.2g/l.

I use Multi-Deco for my DPS so your DPS may show something a little bit different.
